ABOUT US PURPOSE EVENTS BRANCHES

Gujarat Billavara Sangha was formed in the year 1998 to serve the philosophy of Brahma Shri Narayan Guru i.e, "ONE GOD ONE CASTE AND ONE RELIGION FOR ALL MANKIND."

Since then the sangha has never looked back in its endeavor for bringing like-minded people under one roof from every corner of Gujarat state. At present about 500 families are registered as members of the sangha spread allover Gujarat. Under the platform of Gujarat Billavara Sangha our brothers and sisters experience a strong feeling of security, oneness and social welfare among themselves.

With the help and overwhelming co-operation of all the members, the sangha could establish the BAIDYASHREE CULTURAL CENTER, its own premises, located centrally right opposite to railway station of Baroda. All activities of the sangha are being carried out from here.

The Sangha has been Striving to extend all possible support to all the needy in the feild of education, health and social formations, not only to the community people in Gujarat but also in other parts of the nation, paving the path shown by Narayan Guru.

Today at Gujarat Billavara Sangha we work together with Tulu Sangha Baroda, Karnataka Sangha as well as Gayatri pariwar. We have extended helping hands across barrier of cast, religion and region and in real sense have followed Barahmashree Narayan Guru's philosophy.

The Gujarat Billavara Sangha has been actively hosting various events and gathering to keep the great culture of Karnataka alive.

BAIDYASHREE CULTURAL CENTER

The Gujarat Billavara sangha has establish the BAIDYASHREE CULTURAL CENTER, its own premises, located centrally right opposite to railway station of Baroda. This acts as the main center for all activities of the sangha.

The "BAIDASHREE CULTURAL CENTER" acts as the place of action for the Gujarat Billavara Sangha. Located at the center of the beautiful city of Vadodara, this place has enough space to accommodate a large crowd. The sangha was formed with the nobel cause of promoting social, cultural, economic growth and spiritual enfoldment of members. This center is located just beside the Vadodara Railway station which makes it very convenient for people from other cities to visit this place. Since its inauguration, this place has held in numerous events in its premises.

The "BAIDYASHREE CULTURAL CENTER" organizes various cultural programs and get-togethers on various occasions. With all billavas getting together makes it feel like the very land of Shree Koti Chennaya. Many festivals are celebrated here ensuring peoples connection with their roots even being far from their home town. Also, the Sangha distributes prizes to the children who excel in acadamics, sports and various other fields building up their esteem and confidence. Traditional play knows as "Aata" and "Nataka" are also hosted here. Apart from these, weekly bhajans, monthly kitty parties (for female members) and regular meeting are also held here.

The history of Gujarat Billava Sangha dates back to the year 1998. On 07th August 1998, on the auspicious day of "Raksha Bandhan," the Gujarat Billava Sangha was founded at the sacred venue of Maruti Mandira at Lal Darwaja, Ahmedabad. Shri Mohan C Poojary in the presence of respected dignitaries of the community founded this Organization. Thereafter on 16th September 1998, on the birthday of our revered Brahmashree Narayan Guru Swamy, the "Gujarat Billava Sangha" was established as a state-level Sangha in Gujarat at Vikramnagar, Vadodara. After 11 years of promoting social, cultural, economic growth and spiritual enfoldment of members, the "Baidyashree Cultural Center" was established. The inauguration of this center was done on 15th March 2009, by Smt. Shobha Dayanand Bontra. Since then, this place has been the center for various cultural and social activities.
